1870

The Digoin factory, a descendant of the famous earthenware workshops of Sarreguemines and heir to a whole century of unique savoir-faire was born in 1870.
Located between the prosperous region of Lyons and the coal fields of Saône et Loire, the factory benefits from a very favourable economic fabric and geological terrain. The company has been able to develop its own personality thanks to the close proximity of a quarry which supplies it with one of the whitest kaolins in Europe.

1968,“PYROBLAN” the vitreous porcelain

It has taken advantage of such an invaluable resource for, in the sixties, it was the first in France to produce "Pyroblan" vitreous china. A distinctive feature of this authentic material is :

• its high resistance to wear-and-tear
• while its extreme whiteness makes it a competitive alternative to hard-paste porcelain
a promising future...
A capacity of production of 17 millions pieces a year. The factory started a vast program of modernization around Pyroblan, its leading product: high-performance and automatized production tools which improve efficiency and precision work.
Today, Sarreguemines successfully lays the tables of France with
elegance & flair !
